misleading sonnets

Rainbows come, rainbows fade,
None did or does ever stay.
Life's best lesson is thus explained,
When the sun shines on a rainy day.
The wind that ruffles my hair now,
Shall be soon afar, forever gone away
Yet the fleeting pleasure moves me how,
How oft is today's trophy, tomorrow's clay!

Yet, not all moments become bygone,
Not all joy thaws asunder, shrivels or sway,
Like oysters bleed their pain to eternal pearls,
I ached alone all my life to win thy love,
Which none might ever see or speak.
Come, take my love which quietly wandered,
But never went astray.
